Overview

The World Famous Hondo Healthcare & Rehabilitation Center is a 90-bed homelike facility. Each resident is served by a consistent direct care team, allowing for ongoing and personal relationships, and we always incorporate residents’ lifelong patterns and personal desires into our care plans.

Dietary

Community Life

Our dining area is a relaxing atmosphere full of the aromatherapy that comes from home-cooked meals prepared by our excellent dietary staff. A professional dietician works with each resident to ensure healthy and nutritious diets and that our meals provide for special dietary needs. Our Dietary Supervisor works alongside our dietician, assessing food likes and dislikes, and making sure all of our residents are satisfied with and enjoying our meals.

Just like at home, we offer three daily meals consisting of a main entree with trimmings. We always offer and alternative choice meal as well. A variety of nutritional snacks and refreshments are available at any time.

Salon and Spa

Our on-site beauty salon and barber shop is open twice a week. Trained professionals provide our residents with many beauty and barber services, from trims and styles, to color and perms.

We provide a variety of activities and events geared toward residents' personal interests. We visit with our residents to discover their areas of interest and get to know them better. One of the goals of our community is to nurture meaningful and diverse lifestyles; our team is committed to doing this in every way we can.

Social Services

Our social services department is focused on serving our residents from admission to discharge. We assist in completion of paperwork, and can explain the necessity and meaning of documents such as the Advanced Directive. We can work with residents and their loved ones to help them make decisions regarding lifestyle and health care, as well as manage communications with community agencies.

Resident Council

Our Resident Council meets monthly to discuss issues common to all residents and to select the meal of the month. All residents are welcome to participate and help mold the future of Hondo Healthcare & Rehabilitation Center..
