Joe Deleon Director of Rehabilitation Services

After graduating from St. Philip’s College with Associate Degrees in both Fire Science and Physical Therapy Assistance, I became a Physical Therapy Technician in 1998. I enjoy helping people to reach their maximum potential. I have been at Hondo Healthcare and Rehab since August of 2002, and I would not give up this position for the world; not only is it motivating to see the expressions on my patients’ faces when they have completed a strenuous goal, but I also look forward daily to being amongst peers who are living up to our reputation of Uplifting Lives each and every day. I have four additional blessings in my life – my wife and three children. I enjoy spending lots of time with my family, watching movies and playing golf.

Ramona Garza Director of Financial Services

I manage accounts receivable and assist with new admissions. I started my career at Regency Nursing Center, where I worked in the business office for twelve years before coming to Hondo Healthcare and Rehab in May of 2005. I am a proud member of Kissito Healthcare, and love that this organizations has bonded together to form a family atmosphere filled with kindness and understanding. I am the proud mother of three adult sons and one grandson who lives with me. I enjoy reading and spending time with my family.

Margie Ibarra Director of Culinary Services

I enjoy cooking for our residents and am always happy to cook a special request. I began with Hondo Healthcare and Rehab in 1990 as a dietary helper and cook, and after completing my Food Service and Sanitation Certification at San Antonio College, I was promoted to Dietary Supervisor.  I am blessed to have the opportunity to be a part of Kissito Healthcare.  This is a team that acknowledges everyone as a part of a family.  Our slogan, Uplifting Lives, is constant motivation for each staff member. I am married and have one adorable daughter. I enjoy shopping, playing bingo, and managing my barbecue restaurant.

Liz Martinez Director of Community Life

I began working as a Certified Nursing Assistant in 1988, and two years later became a Restorative Aide. I began working at Hondo Healthcare and Rehab in 1999, after completing Activity Director courses and certification at St. Philip’s College. Touching the lives of the people I work with every day – residents, staff and family members – brings a smile to my face and cheer to my heart.  Being a part of Kissito Healthcare has been very rewarding. I am married with two precious daughters, with whom I enjoy spending as much time as I can. I like to travel, write music, and read science fiction books.
